I have a prayer request...

I'd like to ask those of you who pray to add a special little girl and her family to your list. They're having a rough go of it this Christmas. Here's the story:

A couple with whom my wife and I are good friends, recently found that their 5yo daughter had a brain tumor. She had been nauseated and feeling ill for some time. An MRI done this past week revealed the presence of a tumor in her brain. They headed to St. Judes, in Memphis and Julianne underwent brain surgery this morning to remove the tumor. It was small, and the surgery went well. However, (and this is not 100%, yet, but) the initial indications are that it is medulla blastoma, a particularly agressive form of brain cancer that tends to spread to the spinal column and through the nervous system. She'll have to undergo chemo and radiation treatment to try and get rid of it, and it's going to be rough. They do feel that they caught it early..

Anyway, please send your prayers and good thoughts for Julianne Post, her siblings and her parents, Joseph and Debra Post.

BTW, not that this makes any difference, but these folks are part of the wine-making Post family of Altus, AR, (http://www.postfamilie.com/) so some of you might be familiar with them in a round-about sort of way.

    Good thing she was close to, probably, the best children's hospital in the world. She's getting the best possible treatment and kids are resilient....she'll kick it's ****.

    I think so too. I have reports that she's been the hit of the floor she's on ever since they arrived. She's a little fireball, and funny!

    I've been bombarding the Lord with prayer for Julianne, Joseph, Debra, and the siblings. I also sent a prayer request to friends which are around the world. He is definetely going to be hearing a lot of prayers from all directions.

    One other thing Jason, this hits home for me because my father had a malignant brain tumor but his was very large when it was detected. Medical technology on brain tumors has taken leaps and bounds forward. Plus I believe in miracles. . . I am one.
