So... who has seen it?

I'm intrigued. It received 5 outta 5 stars and said it's his best film ever. A pure masterpiece.

Anyone???

Excellent film. Realistic action and good storyline along with very good cinemagraphy. Lots of blood and cruelty so it's not for the weak. If you don't fall into that category then this is a must see movie.

Just saw this and I have to say that it was one of the better films that I have seen all year. Very intense and it left me very satisfied at the end. Just spectacular, cannot wait for the DVD release in May.

    Steve McQueen, "The Great Escape"

While "The Great Escape" was spectacular in its time, Mel Gibson's flick is just out of this world good... if you haven't seen it yet, go rent it now!

I was extremely engrossed, and never wanted to look away from the screen. The attention to detail was amazing, and it was one of those few stories that actually pulled you in, and your heart raced wondering what was going to happen... It's been a while since that happened with a film.

The subtitles were not excessive and I'd say a good third of the film was body language and unspoken language.

The PQ and SQ were second to none. The bass in a few scenes were so deep it just filled the room.

It left you with a sense of happiness when it was over, just terrific filming.

    10 outta 10 stars here.

I cant' wait to see it. Your quotes of WOW struck a memory cell of Steve McQueen when he, James Garner and the other guy just finished making the moonshine and were tasting it before sharing with the other POWs.

Excellent cinematography, overall! great acting and story. I kept my engaged thoroughout the movie, I have watched it out 3 times in the past 48 hours. SD quality is so good that it is very close to HD on my Oppo and PE. This one is a Blockbuster rental, but I would have bought the HD-DVD if they have it today. BR owners should put this one on the list, hell, I would even buy the BR player to watch it on Hi-Def.

I have yet to be dissapointed by Mel's movies. I owned The Patriot, Braveheart, and thoughts a must have collections.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I agree fellas, this was one of the most underated films of the year. I think if Hollywood did not hate Mel so much it would have won some awards.

I watched yesterday also, sick movie. The LFE was awesome on the PB12 plus 2, my whole room was pressurized, could literally feel the bass. Definitely a title I will watch again. BR had awesome PQ/SQ.

This one gets my seal of approval. One of the better movies I've seen in awhile. It pulls you in and doesn't let go, even when heads roll.

In this day and age, where most movies use the soundtrack in an attempt to cover up a really bad story and even worse acting, this movie would still be great with the mute function engaged. Mel is an effing genius!

If it makes you feel any better, he doesn't play a role in the flick, he's just the director.

    The DTS track was excellent.

We watched it last night at low volume levels and the steering was spot on.

LFE was done very well too.
