OK. I am ready to purchase rears to complete (almost-still need a sub...i think) my surround sound system. I am planning on mounting on wall with some sort of mounting bracket. I have
Polk M10s B, newly purchased csi40 which matches up pretty nicely with my old school polks. I would like a bookshelf model. Any suggestions? Also are center rear channels worth it?
Thanks,
Ian

Onkyo TX-DS 797...It was an upgrade from Onkyo TX-80. I am hearing sounds from my M10s that I haven't heard in a long time. Pretty incredible.
I am eventually going to bring my 10s in the basement (when finished) and replace the fronts.

I have POLK SDA2's with the SL2000 tweeters. I've been trying
to decide whether to buy a CS400, 400i or 40i center. Do
your monitor B's have the SL2000 tweeters? Do you think the
40 i would match as good as the 400i?
    Thanks, Mike

I don't really know what kind of tweeters I have.
I believe they are SL2000. I can't really answer your second question because I haven't heard the others to compare. When i was ready to buy the center-I couldn't find the 400i. I can tell you I am very happy with the 40i. I think it sounds great. I bought it at http://www.acousticsounddesign.com for $299.

The SL2000 tweeters are black and the sl1000 tweeters
are a brushed aluminum color. Most likely, your Monitor
    10's have one of them.

Im still trying to find someone who can tell me about the new R20. I am just looking for some positive feedback before I get them for my surrounds. Not trying to steel your fire swisheri.

My tweeters are black so I guess they are the SL2000. Anyway, I'm thinking RT25i for the rears. And I can mount them on the wall. Any thoughts? They have received pretty good reviews...

I use the RT25i's as my rear surrounds. Outstanding little speaker. I build my own surround mounts from 3/4" galvianized pipe from Home Depot. They work great and were very inexpensive.

    Here's a pic.

    Ron,
Your home theatre room looks awesome! Thanks for the pic. Did you screw into the speaker cabinet to mount the speaker to the bottom plate?

Thanks Ian. Yes I did, but I did not screw all the way throuh and breech the inside of the box. I did use earthquake putty at first, which held really well, but I did not feel comfortable with that and seats directly under the speaker so I used screws.

My SDA2's have that same looking tweeter, only they are
black. Polk sent me some literature with the SL2000
looking like that and they are also black. What's the story?

I should clarify, the tweeter itself is the clear dome but
the metal housing is what is black.

Thanks for the pic nascarmann. My tweeters on my M10's look exactly like your pic. Is there a sonic advantage of the SL2000 versus the SL1000?
Thanks, Ron for the mounting info. Seperate thought-- I am not sure that I need a sub with my M10's up front.

I've read and been told that the SL2000 tweeters were a
lot better than the 1000's. I'd be interested in knowing
more about the differences also, and why the 2000's
    are better.
