I like some of the Italian crooners Christmas stuff, especially Dean Martin. "Baby It's Cold Outside" and "It's a Marshmallow World" just make me smile.

And of course, the Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown Christmas album is just... unbeatable. My favorite on that album is either "My Little Drum" or "Christmas is Coming".
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

A lot of the traditional songs for sure. But for years I sit alone and listen to HAPPY XMAS (War Is Over) by John Lennon at least once.

My wife and I saw those three groups at Resorts Casino last night in Atlantic City. We were five feet from the stage. They first performed together, then individually, and then together in a Christmas show. Great performances! Many songs brought a tear to this crusty old hardasses eyes. It was a really fun night.

The acoustics however really sucked. It's funny the bass vocal (his name escapes me at the moment) was standing right behind us, so close I could feel his breath hitting my hair and neither me or Phyllisann could hear his voice except through the crappy speakers way up above the stage.

Bad acoustics aside they all really put on a great show. I would love to hear them in a great theater where they pay attention to acoustics as well as the performance.

My wife who is 9 years younger than me recognized the music so I really didn't feel like that much of an old ****.

+1 on Hallelujah Chorus. I used to sing it and nothing is more exhilarating than a full orchestra and a 100+ person choir. Truly wonderful.

Chanticleer is another choir I love to hear. They put on a christmas show every year in our area (though we missed it this year :( ). An acapella group consisting of all male singers with better tonality and dynamics than the King Singers. Truly a wonderful group to listen to and I highly recommend listening to their music.

Biebl's Ave Maria is another one I love hearing.

As for non-classical christmas music, you can't go wrong with blaring Tran-Siberian Orchestra ;)
Lovin that music year after year.

Already mentioned but a punk song Father Christmas by the Kinks

Father Christmas give us some money
Don't mess around with them silly toys
We'll beat you up if you don't hand it over
We want your bread so don't make us annoyed
Give all the toys to the little rich boys.

    (or something like that)

How can you not love those lyrics?

That always brings me to huge goose bumps and wells me up with tears!!! Even so so performances of it just moves me to no end.

Another one, that moves me like Handel's Messiah, that isn't so much a Christmas song although it is played often enough at Christmas is AVE' Maria. . . can't get through it without tears. Awesome.

I absolutely love this band... Seen 'em three times and they are unbelievable. Cannot say enough good things about this Dutch duo. Every single one of their albums is a "must-have".
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore
