I am watching these closely, they would make an excellent addition to my system. I would use them as back surrounds in my 7.1. Currently 7b's as main left and right, my center made up of 2mw6503's and peerless, and m4's as side surround, those would fit right in as back surround.

    Jake
    Monitor 7b's front
    Monitor 4's surround
Frankinpolk Center (2 mw6503's with peerless tweeter)
    M10's back surround
    Hafler-200 driving patio Daytons
    Tempest-X 15" DIY sub w/ Rythmik 350A plate amp
Dayton 12" DVC w/ Rythmik 350a plate amp
    Harman/Kardon AVR-635
    Oppo 981hd
    Denon upconvert DVD player
    Jennings Research (vintage and rare)
    Mit RPTV WS-55513
    Tosh HD-XA1
    B&K AV5000

Well they are worth whatever people will pay for them....

Mini-monitors are very nice. I wouldn't sell mine for $194.

I'll admit to being surprised too... I had the auction watched.

Like I said, I wouldn't take $194 for my mini's, and they aren't in near that condition. Would I pay $194 if I no longer had them? I'm not too sure - I'd need to have a specific use I guess.

My mini's are in the kitchen on top of the cabinets, driven by a Pioneer SX-450. I use a iPod dock connector to RCA adapter for playing my iPod and I love the sound I get.

What was the difference between those and the other "minis" you see with the odd "corner" shaped box? Same speakers different cabinet?

I've only seen the "others" mentioned here, and have not listened to them. I wonder if they have the sl2000 tweeter.

The others had the peerless too. Looked like the same drivers and veneer, just a corner style encloser.
