Help new house

Today I moved my stereo, and guns into my new house. While my wife moved out. The new living room is 12x24x8 it has two average sized doorways. That makes it pretty easy. The problem is one rear wall on one side is angled into a hallway. So I had to put my left rear agout three feet from the corner, and the other is in the corner. Also due to a closet and a doorway I have to put my surrounds just below the ceiling. So am I doing anything wrong that can be corrected? I believe I am pretty stuck on options other than buying stands. Those will have to wait even if I do need them. So sup'?

Not sure what to offer up as advice, but I think it's great that you've moved your guns in.

lol...why wont u just move the other one 3 feet over?Damn you all, damn you all to hell.......
I promised myself
No more speakers. None. Nada. And then you posted this!!!!
Damn you all! - ATC -
If I move the other three feet over they will only be about six feet apart. With me sitting 12 feet away I do not feel I would easily notice what side the sound is coming from. The guy with $40.00 mains and a $700.00 subwoofer.

These two guys go out and get pretty smashed.
The next day they meet up and one guys says, "Man I was so drunk, when I got home, I passed out."
The second guy says, "Man I was so bad, I got home and blew chunks."
The first guy says, "Hey thats not so bad."
The second guy says, "You dont understand! Chunks is my dog!!!"The guy with $40.00 mains and a $700.00 subwoofer. -

nascarman,,
the reason the pic shows up on your computer is because it is resident on your hard drive and the link points to a specific location on your hard drive:
C:/My Documents/safe1_01.jpg
If you want us to see it, you'll have to upload the pic to a web-accessible location. You could make your PC web-accessible, but I don't recommend it.:pProud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country! -

Brian:
I'm having difficulty visualizing your situation. What kind of set-up do you have, 5.1, 7.1, etc? How about posting a less interesting picture, one of your room layout?
Larry -
Larry unfortunately I have no scanner nor a dig. camera. I can explain anything you ask though. It is a 5.1 system. If you draw a rectangle to scale, and at one corner put a fifth side at a 75 degree angle that goes 1/3 into the rectangle on the narrow side. You will essentially have my livingroom. If there is anything else that you would like to know to assist me I would be more than happy to elaborate. Again thank you.The guy with $40.00 mains and a $700.00 subwoofer.

Brian:
Might I suggest that you use Microsoft's Paintbrush program (if you don't have a better graphics program) to provide a sketch of your room with the speaker locations, doors, and listening position(s), etc.
Attached is a freehand outline of your room based on my interpretation of your directions. I used Paintbrush and saved the file as a gif file. Depending on your version of Windows you might have to save the sketch as a bmp file, but that should be OK as well.

We'll start over once this one goes away, eh?
