More Bass in one speaker??

Hi there all, i have a set of mmc570 speakers installed in the front doors of my car and i have noticed,there is a lot more bass from one speaker than the other. This is noticeable when the balance is to the one side, it is not a phasing problem. I have also swapped the right and left channels with no avail, i am now thinking there might be a fault with the crossover,but don't want to remove it from its mounting,as it is in very hard to get at place.

Some advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated please as it is very annoying
