    Hello,
I try and encourage any M3 owner to send the speaker to us for service. The enclosure can be easily broken if you are not very careful. Even our longtime dealers will send the speakers to us rather than risk the cabinet (which we no longer have). Is this something you would like to consider?

    Kenneth,
Could you at least give me an idea on what is process to open it ? I did remove the screws and I can see the tweeter and bass would come off together as a whole, but somethings holds the face into the box.

Kenneth, I have a set of 9a's that I am trying to get inside. Two of the 4" drivers ceased working and I want to check the connections and wiring/crossover. The grey cement that holds the speakers in place along with the screws seems to be preventing this. I did not want to damage the speakers getting inside.

Can you offer any advice? Thanks!

    Hello,
I believe Helen, in Customer Service, has a set of instructions on opening the M3 that she can send. Just send an email to hyarbor@polkaudio.com and ask for M3 opening instructions.

    Hello,
I'm afraid my experience is very limited on the older 9 series speakers. In general terms after you remove the screws you can use a putty knife to loosen up the tweeter and driver. You would want to place a couple layers of heavy paper to prevent damage to the cabinet surface.

    Kenneth,
I just sent Helen an email. I tried using a putting knife but the case doesn't open. It looks like there is something else other than the screws holding the case together. I will wait for her reply.
    Thanks
