Thing is...Polian is probably right. The Colts commit four turnovers in their first six possessions and still have a chance to win the game. Neither team played particularly well. Dallas just screwed up less.

They both turned the ball over a lot.. Dallas took advantage of it. Turnovers are just one aspect of the game.

Just because there wasn't 70 points scored doesn't mean the game wasn't played well. Defense wins championships.

    Steve,

You would have had to heard it yourself to understand where I'm coming from. You got to remember, too, I'm the one with the official Colt's plate on my Stang. I'm not a Colt's basher, by any means.

You should really know what you are saying before you post my man. If the playoffs were today, Chiefs would be the first wildcard, and the Donkey's the second. We own a better division record (3-1 to DEN's 2-2) after the tie 7-4. That's the next comparison they look at.

The Chiefs still have a shot at wining the division.. though I highly doubt that will happen. We always manage to lose a game we should win at the end of the year.

But regardless, the Jags and Jets and Cincy (All 6-5) are on the outside looking in right now in the AFC. As we all know, the final 5 games could easily change that picture!

And jdhdiggs, every team in the NFL has weaknesses, it's just a matter of matchups and who can exploit them. That's why we play the games... Ha.

    Just FYI ;)

Most importantly, the playoffs do not start next weekend, so being seeded 6th right now means nothing. What is interesting, and potentially significant, is that KC plays 4 of their remaining 5 on the ROAD! Two of those are CLE and OAK, and I believe they'll win both, but they're looking at 2-3 down the stretch. Oh, and if you think they'll catch SD for the division lead, send me some of whatever you're smoking.

    @ CLE - Win
    BAL - Loss
    @ SD - Loss
@ OAK - Win (but not that easily)
    @ JAX - Loss

Yes, 2-3 in the last 5 for an 8-8 record. C'mon, you picked Miami to win the AFC East.

I doubt there's an easier offense to step into as a rookie QB than Denver's. Cutler can, and should, hand off 40 times in his first game against Seattle. Denver's remaining schedule is only slightly more friendly, but they're up a game and will add another over the last five.

SEA - Win (Seattle on road following MNF)
    @ SD - Loss
    @ AZ - Win
    Cinci - Loss, being conservative
    SF - Win

3-2 in the last 5- good enough, 10-6 on the year, 2nd in division, easy Wild Card. Then they come to Gillette to get slapped.

Jets, Jags, and Bengals all finish at 9-7. Pick one. I don't care. They lose to SD in the first round.

Yes, 2-3 in the last 5 for an 8-8 record. C'mon, you picked Miami to win the AFC East.

Hmm, you need to share the crack dude. :D First off, let's discuss your math skills: We are 7-4. Going 2-3 would put us at 9-7, not 8-8. Secondly, we play JAX at HOME so we only have three of the last five on the road. We will beat the Browns, Beat Balt, Loss to SD and win against OAK and JAX. But regardless. Thirdly, we are seated 5TH in the playoff hunt, not 6th. We are ahead of Denver because of our division record (3-1 to DEN's 2-2). Just slightly off on your numbers.

I expect 11-5, and being the 1st wildcard team. What happens after that is anybody's guess. We'll see how injuries look and how they are playing.

Since your math was way off anyways, I won't go there with the other teams. If Denver starts the rookie, which it seems they will, don't expect all these wins. A rookie will make more mistakes than Plumber. Hands down. I don't care how good you think this kid will play, they will be welcomed to the NFL by the big boys, trust me!!! KC has the edge on Denver, from a better conference record so if both teams go 3-2, DEN will still be third in the AFC West (and most likely watching the games in January from their homes!)

Regarding Miami, I was off. They have turned the heat up lately, and won some good games in a row. I don't want to play them in December, and I'm sure most teams feel the same way.

No hard feelings man, but like I said, get the facts straight before making comments!!! :D

Ahh. ****, I screwed the whole thing up, didn't I...

I still think 2-3 in for the last 5, no way beating Baltimore, but I guess you could beat Jax the last week of the season, since the game is at Arrowhead and Jax is terrible on the road.

I think Green Bay lost the game more than Seattle did.

Mr Nightly, I am very biased, but I don't understand how you think the Broncos will lose to Cinci, but beat Seattle. I would take Seattle every time between them and Cinci, but thats just me.
