Shielding problem w/PSW650

Okay I have had this sub for over two years now and am now experiencing a very loud and annoying sound when the phone gets an incoming call, making an outgoing call or when the phone decides to do a cell tower search. My Denon 5803a and 1.2TLs are not affected. The sub is connected with a single AR Pro 10' cable to the LFE input, so I disconnected that and still had the sound. So the only conclusion I can come up with is that something has gone wrong with (if it has any) shielding for the amp in the sub.
Any suggestions? I know it's not doing damage to the sub, but for the past few months I've not been able to watch a single program, movie or music without the sound happening. To make things more of a pain, the cell phone has to be moved over 15' to avoid it. I live in an apartment building and there are people in the hallway on a regular basis making cell calls. If they are within 5' of my door I know it.

Probably more to do with new cell technology than old sub..............my newer GSM phones drive computer audio, sub amps, clock radios and most any other poorly filtered amps crazy.
Shielding/filtering or cell frequency aside, it is annoying.HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

Thing is I've had this phone for almost a year and only had this problem the past few months. Hmmm....Driver carries only 20 dollars in ammunition

Is the phone closer to the amp? The amp wouldn't magically lose shielding.Brian Knauss

The phone is no closer than in the past (average distance is 10'). The safe distance seems to be just over 15' to avoid interference.
I think I've tracked down the cause. Cingular had upgraded my SIM to their new 64K around the time I noticed the interference. The other two Razrs here didn't cause any during testing, but now that Cingular sent and required they upgrade to the new 64K SIM, they cause the same interference. Seems the new SIM is doing something different. I have an even newer SIM waiting for me at the local store that is meant to address my signal problems. I'm hoping it will also take care of this problem as well. I'll keep you posted.

first of all the psw650 is not magnetically shielded and secondly i used to have a motorola phone as well and it gave me humming problems when closer than like 3 feet to my amp but i now have a samsung d807 with the old sim card and it has no problems whatsoever. i have a psw650 as well and a denon receiver too.
