'Ground Loop' is your phrase for the day. Search, read, learn.

Start by disconnecting ALL video sources from your rig, tv, cable box, sat box, game console, laserdisc, vcr, betamax.

Hum gone? Add each one back in, one at time, testing as you go, find the component causing the ground loop. Next step, try a ground loop isolator, cheater plug, etc.

If not, are you using any sort of surge suppression / power filters or conditioners?

Welcome to the boards, thanks for choosing Polk Audio! Disconnect those cubes, they are doing more harm than good. You'll get a pretty penny for them on ebay.

    Cheers,
    Russ
