All,

I think I am going to take a break from posting for awhile. Apparently, from the way things look the past couple days, anything I post has degenerated into a pissing contest, which, really, I have tried to avoid. I've always said that I enjoy discussion and debate and that (other in good humor) I don't engage in personal attacks.

I really don't think that it's healthy for the forum at large to be subjected to it and it's something I don't want to be a part of. So for a while, I'm probably not going to post anything at all. Most of my opinions are BS anyway so y'all won't miss too much!

    I don't think you should leave the forum,and yes it's me posting this.I'm sure I'm the last person that would respond to this, but I just wanted you and your running buddy(Russman)to cool your jets.

    You say you don't want pissing matches but you start (or Russman)most of them if not all of them.
    The last couple of posts you made,I replied that the poor guy who started this post isn't getting any help now with the usual pissing match going on.
    If you remember correctly,I stuck out my hand awhile ago via email.
    You can E-mail me anytime dude(Dmantis20@aol.com),I don't dislike you or Russman,but I'm sure where all tired of the ****.Lets let it be water under the bridge and start over.

    Music is about passion. And passion can take over a life if not consciously moderate.

    Personnally, I feel this forum would be at loss if any of you active contributors (Troy, Mantis or other) were to leave. Sharing different point of view create a lot more value that homogeneous post. Maybe could you all just remove the "slam bass" from the posting...

    I also think all you guys should stay on this Polk Board...................you all have been very helpful in providing me with great advice on Audio/Video for the past two yrs since I have joined and now is not the time to leave........we always need good advice from senior members and also to make this board exciting.................................there is always some disagreements in life........as my boss would always say.....LIFE IS NOT PERFECT! if life was perfect I would not be working anymore and I would be able to upgrading my equipment once a month but that's not reality.

    So keep on posting and have a nice weekend (relax)

    You're always going to have internet discussions that begin leaning towards violence, name calling and the occasional excrement distance competition. It's one of those common traits of human beings. They love flexing their E-muscles.

    I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other about your attitude. However, taking a break can help, whether we're talking about this forum or anything else. It keeps you from getting fixated on the little problems of whatever it is you're taking a break from. Do something else for a while, enjoy it, come back refreshed.:D

    I stopped posting a while back because of certain individuals (Russman), who have nothing better to do than start ****. I now just stop in to read up on whats going on. I think that a "pissing match" thread should be started specifically for these individuals that have small dicks so that they can feel like real men!

    That did come out WAY wrong. It sounded a lot different when I re-read it than what I meant when I wrote it.

    We all take some heat at one time or another if we post long enough. If everyone were to leave when they got a little frustrated or didn't like something no one would be left and we would all loose.

    Ok guys, OK......I'm over myself, really.

    My intention was never to leave the forum permanently or anything like that. A little shitstorm doesn't bother me either, however, a major, drawn out thing is bad for everyone and I just choose not to participate in that.
