On one of my RT1000i mid/bass driver died out. has a model # MW7200. Upon visiting my local Polk Dealer he suggested that I can replace it with a different driver model # RD7217-2 which he has in stock and sell me real cheap.Almost half the price of MW7200 if ordered directly from Polk. But I am not sure if its the right replacement part. Please help.

sounds like he is swapping it from another speaker. sounds a little fishy to me. I would just order it from polkaudio. tell them your a clubpolk member and it takes some bucks off.

actually, if you ask polk customer service about that part number the dealer gave you. they will most certainly give you honest insight. call customer service.

Absolutely. Check first. If it's not the right one, you'd be wasting your money.

The mid woofer on one of my RTi10 is not working properly. I removed it to look at the Part# It is RD 7217-2 . The Part catalog says RD 7217-1. Does anyone Know why this is ? Or what the differance is. I am not sure the problem is the speaker. Could it be the crossover? It distorts sound on a certian band with. I would appreciate any advice and if this is common with this model.
