Anyone download it yet? I haven't, but I just read about it.
There looks to be a number of nice new improvements. But, the most noteworthy one, which hopefully will also impact the add on HD DVD drive, is support for 1080p. I will have to wait and see if this makes any noticeable difference, but I am excited about it nonetheless.
I'll report back later on what I personally find.

I did the update. I didn't notice any changesDan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Do you have a 1080p TV?

Shelby, is it to assume that, with the update, XBOX360 will output 1080p over component cable?I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

This update was huge! It added support for not only 1080p, but for the HD-DVD add on and streaming videos to your XBox 360 without the need for Media Center.
There are litterally tons of features/fixes added. I like the new interface components too -
I downloaded mine. One thing that is strange, I tried to set the display to 1080i, but it won't stay. Yes, 1080p is available, but since my Pioneer Elite RPTV is not capable of, it won't matter.
Anyone knows why it won't stay at 1080i? it connected via B&K Ref50 S2, if that matter at all.
thanks.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie. -
I like everything about the update as well. The videos support will be nice. I like to DL missed episodes of shows and such, and since my lame **** doesnt have a DVR, it will be nice to move them from my computer to the TV.
And, with limited testing, I notice no difference between 1080i and 1080p. Then again, I am due for new glasses. -
Very few TVs accept 1080p for component inputs... the VGA input accepts 1080p however, incase your HDTV has a nice computer input. My Iron Man training/charity blog.

doh...I solved my problem. That tiny switch on the component jack, embarassing. Hey, it gives me excuse to play COD2 again, for the third times!I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Duh. Thanks for reminding me. I'll have to try it out later.
