That's pretty f-ing fast, but I hate the way those cars sound.

Having about a 3.5" exhaust like my Eclipse, it probably sounds pretty dam good. Nice deep and throaty. You may be confused with the idiots that have the 1" weed eater exhaust.
Nice car - some people just have way too much money....... You can do anything with enough doe.

PS - i did not get sound on that video.

I like american musle too (current ride is a '06 charger daytona), but you gotta give credit where credit is due.

He had a pretty bad launch (the other guy beat him in the first 60 feet or so) but when he hooked up, it was like he had a rocket assist. I have never seen a street car lift like that.....

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing- I saw the other car hit it first and I was about to be annoyed for wasting the last minute, but the next 9 seconds made up for that...

To be honest, I'm not all that impressed.

THIS impresses me. No, it's not as fast...but it doesn't miss it by much. He's running a naturally aspirated small block in that thing, and runs the quarter in the low 9's... With nitrus he's in the 8's.

Who's talking about that. I'm talking about good ole' American muscle cars. Man there's nothing like crusing down the road in a Vette, Mustang, GTO, Challenger, Trans Am, Camaro, Chevelle SS, Buick Grand Sport, Barracuda, AMX, Charger R/T, etc., etc. There's a lot more where they came from too. It just doesn't appeal to me to be driving an over sized sewing machine. Back in the day I've owned 3 vette's, 2/1969"s & 1/1970. I still have so many great memories of crusing!!! Someday I'll get me another one. Until then, Long live American Muscle!!!!

I am a HUGE Gm fan (mainly chevy) and I like muscle cars but you guys gotta be joking. Those cars couldn't handle worth anything and even though some boasted amazing horsepower ratings, their weight was abysmal. And if you think a Supra is an oversized weed-eater, lawn mower, sewing machine, etc. maybe you should check your specs. When the twin turbo Supra came out, it was a supercar and still pretty much is.

A lot of the weird sounds are from the rev limiter. When you have a car running over 40lbs of boost and nitrous, a rev limiter saves a lot of engine parts, but sounds like crap.

If you think that car sounds bad, go check out some of the Buick Grand Nationals out, that have been modded to the extreme.

Another supra. I'm also more of a domestic fan when it comes to fun / fast cars but a supra is one of my favorite imports.

My last street car. '72 Chevelle with working AC and PS. 4,160 pounds with me in it. 11:10, 119. The guy that taped it had a bad video camera. It is choppy with no sound.
