And I'm stinkin up the pool...again!:D Guess I should be paying a bit more attention.

How about those Chiefs! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! Spanked like a red-**** monkey! Where's Mr. Nightly?!?!:D

Ravens are on a streak...not a good one but a streak none the less.

Chargers beat the living snot outta the 49er's. Wow...what a shocker.

Saints are a pleasant surprise, I'm sure Eagles fans will disagree though.

Raiders are well on their way to another loss...WOOOT!!:D

Yeah Dallas won, but can someone please carve out T.O.'s tongue with a rusty butterknife PLEASE!!! Will this mental midget never learn to shut his pie hole?

Let me hear your Battle Cry!!

Not sure which was worse for me: the Chiefs brutal beatdown or the Rams great come-from-behind only to lose on the long field goal as time expired.

Gawd! I just looked at the standings! I suck!!! 3. Thats all I freaking got! 3!!

This is the second week I actually picked based on the spreads and its the second week in a row I got creamed. I knew Pits would beat KC but I didnt think they would be the spread.

Thats settles it. No more picking to cover spreads. From now on Im back to the picking simply the team I think will win. I was hitting 8 and 9 when I did it that way.

But I still got hosed on the Detroit and Tampa Bay games. Who wouldve thought they would finally win one.

    Macleod,

I did the exact same thing as you and the past two weeks got like a 3 and 5. I too am just going with the team I like, I'm not even going to look at spreads anymore...

Yeah, but I don't think they covered the spread.

Yeah, them f*****g Rams. Come from behind, than the D melts down.

Well, at least Seattle didn't cover the spread. :)

Orlando Pace is definitely beatable these days. Seattle got 2 sacks on Bulger with a 3-man rush !!

    Nothing yet from MrNightly?

Tell me again that the CHEFS are a playoff team...

I thought both the Rams and Saints were overrated. Maybe I was wrong...

The Ravens are sliding because they can't score. Denver's weak offense will haunt them unless they turn it around. Cinci and Indy can't stop anybody, leaving SD and the Pats as the best teams in the AFC- I hope.

Watch out for Denver, they're operating like the Pats from several years ago and keeping the playbook closed against "inferior" teams. The only time the flull playbook was out was NE. It cost us the game in St. louis who's a lot better than everyone thought this year. With Oakland and Cleveland on the slate right before Indy, Denver was keeping the amount of film down ala Belicheck when he had a complete team.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Absolutely true. Shanahan knew they only needed 1 TD to win last night. They got it, and played "Marty-ball" the rest of the way. As for the foolish question, "Did they won or not lose?", watch the game. It was not as close as the 10 point scoreboard difference may have indicated.

Indy will be an interesting game for your boys, two completely different teams. Beat them, and you can be considered the best team in the AFC.

I'm sure you'd like to see them find the end zone 3x against a decent team, or hang 30 on a bad team at some point to feel better about the offense, wouldn't you?

I watched the game, and as an impartial observer, you give Shanahan way too much credit. There's absolutely no excuse for Denver not to score more than they did. The Raiders are that bad. I think it's a stretch to say he was holding his playbook close to the vest the entire game, but if it makes Bronocs fans feel better.... Also, a coach cannot make their team quit playing hard and not want to make impact plays. If the Broncos were that good it would have happened regardless of the play calling from Shanahan.

Anyhow, they have a lot bigger worries than the Patriots, a team on the down swing of their dominant reign.

It makes a big difference when you decide to stop throwing the ball downfield, run most 1st downs, etc... You're not looking to light up the scoreboard when you're playng that conservatively. Would the Broncos have felt better about their overall performance if they had scored 20, sure, but it was a 2 score game all the way and never in doubt.

Pats or Broncos have bigger worries? I'm not sure I understand your statement. Both teams have areas of concern. Either can put it together and make a run. I suspect the Pats will end up making a stop in Denver for the AFC Championship game on their way to the SB.

Alright. I'm here. I'll eat my crow with the best of them..

Doesn't taste good right now at all. The Chefs showed up. Actually, the Chefs didn't even show up. Some scrubs from KU showed up I think. Wow.

The only good thing about that game, was we helped Pitt get their groove on! Golden Boy Ben will get some limelight again, thanks to us :)

Playoff team? Sure didn't feel like it yesterday. Don't count anybody out yet, but my hopes were quickly dashed with the severe trashing we received.

    Here's to a quick rebound.

Regarding Denver, I don't know about them guys. They played a sloppy game against the worst team in football. I was expecting a blow out, and only got 13 points. But hey, 4-1 is 4-1 right?

Wow, Bears fan here.........we are getting our asses kicked right now. Where has Arizona been all season. This is why I hate the hype surrounding events like this. Everyone in the media (not just Chicago) is saying the Bears are THE team this year. We were doing well, but tonight so far we look horrible.

Well I hope its a good game because I wont be watching it.

    Wanna know why?

Because my f**king walls around the window directly behind my tv started leaking! Apparantly it had been eating and rotting its way thru for a while and finally broke loose tonight and since there were blinds up in the window, we never saw the warning signs!

Im lucky it didnt fry my TV cause by the time I figured out where the dripping sound was coming from, the back of my tv and receiver were soaked! I mean this thing was pouring! I tried slapping on some caulk but it was futile as it was pouring too fast for me to get it dry enough to get the caulk to stick.

So not only did I have to unplug everything (tv, dvd, vcr, xbox, playstation, cd player, tv, receiver, satelite receiver) I had to pull out the entertainment center so the maintenance guys can get to it and fix it in the morning.

So all I have to do now is sit and contimplate how much fun its going to be to re-hook up 8 sources to my receiver. Should only take 4 hours.

I want to puke. I really wanted to watch the game tonight!!

Hey man that SUCKS......sorry to hear that. But you aren't missing anything so far. It's pretty lopsided in Arizona's favor. They look good, the rookie QB is impressive as is their defense. Frankly I'm glad the Bears aren't playing well, keeps 'em in the season and deflate their heads a little bit

Woo hoo! Chargers win bigtime! If Schottenheimer had any balls we'd be 5-0. And I can't wait until we play the Broncos and their pathetic 12 pts per game offense :p But first things first......next up, the Chiefs

Yeah that was definitely a monumental collapse. I wonder if Edgerrin James will be whining about not getting the ball in the 4th Q anymore. But they still had a chance to win there, but the coaches pulled a Marty Schottenheimer there at the end. You barely get in FG range and then sit on it and then put the burden of making a game-winning 43 yd FG on your kicker when you could have tried harder to get closer for him or even scored the TD. They had 2 freakin' timeouts left for crying out loud. That's why teams like that lose and that's exactly how the Chargers lost to Baltimore earlier this season.

I'm speechless as a Bears fan. We played a deplorable game and still won. They have a lot to work on during the bye week. I'll give them the benefit of doubt and chalk it up to bad luck and Rex's willingness to force it down the field. This hopefully is a 1 time complete mis-fire for the offense. I wouldn't be proud if I were them. The defense can be proud of the win though.

That was the most **** up game I've seen in a long while.

    What's up with the Edge....36 rushes for 55 yards!!!!!

I'll have to give it to Leinart, though, he did everything he could to put his team into position to win that game, but he can't kick the ball, too.

I had Chicago, but had to root for the rookie who came out ready to play.

Lot's of firsts last night, with the main one being that Chicago came from 20 points behind and didn't score on offense. I doubt that we'll ever see that again. 6 turnovers and still win.
