It's cool to see an SDA convert, have fun and turn it up.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Congrats Dave! Enjoy the CRS+'s! If candyliquor doesn't part with the stands, I have the plans to build the original. How good are you with a torch?:D

Perforated 1" square beams would work but I like solid steel with some lead shot in the bottom for stabilization.

Pm me with your email and I'll send you the plans.

Just get em with the tweets near ear level, lots of solid stand options out there, for not a lot of beads and shells that will do just fine.

One of my favorite SDA's. My second favorite actually, only bested by the SRS2. Look at the driver layout (spacing), and look at the other models that did (and did not) follow suit. They didn't call it the 'Compact Reference' for no reason. Think Sig Ref.

What kind of stage are you getting in your room, 120? 140 degrees? More?

    Cheers,
    Russ

Now, we need to figure out a way to incorporate the SDA technology in an in-wall or in-ceiling enclusure so our spouses will love them as much as we do!..

Polk is already on that one broham, full bore. Like a fly on ****. Like a fat kid on a cupcake. Like Doro on a handle of Beam. Stay close to the channel for updates.

    Cheers,
    Russ

The infection has spread. I'm touching myself.

Keep the boxes and receipt. If you need space fold them up.

Carl (CandyLiquor) has offered up the stands. First rate guy - we just need to work out a good time for me to run by to grab them. I can't weld worth a damn. I can dice, slice, cut, hammer, glue, and screw with the best of them.

He seemed a little awestruck by the sight of the srs's but he resisted the temptation to listen to them.

They are pretty big and scary. It is too bad though because then he would know pretty much what to look for out of the CRS's.

Damn, I am glad I did not listen to any of the other (like 6 or more sets) of SDA's that Carl has. I might still be over at his place. He has a very impressive setup and I think he has an SDA in every room of his house!
whoa I only have 3 sets that I couldn't be happier with, the srs's, 2.3's and 2b's and my tiny house can barely accommodate them. Thanks Russ for letting Dave have them. I almost posted these for $200 shipped <<<= not joking. Congrats Dave! I have the same amazement about the sda's. I can't tell that the music is coming from the speakers. It's just there somehow coming from the middle of the room.
