I came upon this and figured a few of you guys might take benefit of this deal. I'm still unsure if I have a use for it but at this price, it's hard to NOT buy one. This is a one day only kind of deal and will end at noon Friday. It's a cool site, kinda like woot.com. Every day at noon EST, they start a new deal. The first person to buy it every day at noon gets it free with free shipping. NOT A BAD DEAL! Typical shipping is anywhere from $1-6 from what I've seen, usually $5. Enjoy.

Got mine in the mail today. The box was a little beat up, but no damage to the unit. I have no idea what I am going to do with it, but couldn't pass it up! Thanks for the heads up.

Got mine today. It was described on their site as "Brand New", but it has a refurbished sticker on the bottom, and you can see where they peeled them off the box. Unit definetly looks used.

Stootsi is a scam. Have had no luck contacting them, just a cheesy voice mail with a generic message.

I NEVER buy refurbished junk, who wants someone elses problem.

What? VERY interesting... I've bought a couple things from them and haven't had a problem yet. I'd post it on their forums and see what kind of response you get from Corbo.

I did post on their site, a few others have posted about getting refurbs as well. One said the stickers had been removed from the bottom of the unit, but the serial number on the unit does not match the serial number on the box. Mine doesn't either. I would check yours.

I have also seen comments on another forum, and they recieved refurbs as well.

They did finally contact me, they claim it was a mistake, but they expect me to pay return shipping on their "mistake".

Indeed. Their site states that they'll only take returns within the first 3 days only if it's a faulty piece, and that the buyer must pay return shipping.

Ordered three. One for my theater system, one for my 2-channel, and the last for my brother's system. 3 for 3 are REFURBS! I'm flaming hot right now. The boxes are all beat to ****, and the one box even has an RMA number on the top of it in HUGE writing. Stootsi SUCKS! I'm going to threaten them...somehow :D

Got mine today and it also has the refurbished sticker on the bottom. Unit does seem to work though. Of course a power center would be hard to test. I guess I'm stuck with it. Will not purchase from them again.

del, does that mean you have determined that yours is a refurb? So far, you are the only one I have seen on three forums, claim that they got a new unit.

And Jockos, you are not stuck with it. This is fraud, and your credit card will back you up.

They originally offered me the purchase price back, 99.99, after several emails. After posting in their forum, they have emailed me and said that they will issue a call tag this morning, and will give a full refund.

He also asked me NOT to post about this on their forum, as it is not for support issues. Of course if I had not posted, they would have not offered to issue a call tag, or give a full refund. So it seems to have gotten results.

I don't know if mine is a refurb. I haven't checked the serial # yet. But I did look at ebays completed listings on the 3500 mkll's. Most of the sales are from Stootsi. Hmmm. And most sold in the $90 area, plus shipping.

They are also listing all the units on Ebay as new:mad:

I didn't realise they were just another bad ebay seller. 95% feedback rating...

Don't know if mine is a refurb but have to assume so. There are a few small scratches on the bottom, the remains of a sticker, a few torn off stickers on the box, serial numbers don't match, and the box has writing on it and is bet up. No matter what it is not new like advertised, and I will be contacting them about this.
