To the Packers? Who the hell knows? If I were him I would have left after Holmgren left. I guess he never knew how **** the management was going to be, something he never had to worry about. If you mean why did he come back to the NFL, I think it's because he's still on of the better QBs in the league. We all know a majority of the league would start him in an instant if they had a chance.
The fact I can't even stomach a full quarter of Packer football is pretty good indication they're not going to have a season worth watching. Hell I'll wager a guess that the Lions have a better season this year. I think the Packers will be close to having the worst record in the NFL this year.
Like I said....why Favre didn't just go to another team is beyond me. They haven't given him a reliable run and gun wide out since Robert Brooks, and the rest is just a miracle in development. Hell I would have even been willing to accept that asshat Randy Moss. Watching them run Ahman Green down after down year in and year out was nauseating. Then they'd do some short out to a crappy set of receivers. The're lazy on the routes, and then wonder why he gets picked. Now, all the fans know he throws some wild **** balls, but that's always been his game. Even during the Super Bowl years, but it didn't matter then because he was winning them games. Now that they're losing suddenly he's the problem.
I'm not saying that getting him a star wide out was going to make the team now, but it certainly would have helped years ago when they had loads of talent on both sides of the ball. You don't have a talent like Favre and then become a running team -- it's stupid. The years they were using their receivers and tight ends on nearly every down were the years they were crushing teams week after week. They would strike the endzone instantly, and then let their backs grind the clock down for the remainder of the game.
So yeah, I'm bitter, and I now realize I'm more of a Brett Favre fan than a Packer fan. Until they really dismantle that organization and get some good decision makers in there I don't think it's going to change. There's just nothing to like anymore. It's not just losing, it's like they're trying to lose. -

Has anyone heard from MrNightly. Somebody may want to drive by his house and see if everything is Ok.:D
When does football season start?!?
Ya, 0-2 is not the way to start a playoff season. Of course, only giving LJ the ball 17 times isn't the way to start it either. 4.0 ypc and they still only gave it to him 17 times. I guess the only good thing about this week was that what, 11 home teams lost? Unbelievable.
But whatever... I've shaken off this bad week, and decided we will just have to go to the Donkey's stadium and kick their little butts! Ha. We have to break the curse of Mile High sometime... why not this year?
