And the first game is in the bag. Steelers win with a back-up QB....Repeat predictions should be starting pretty soon.:p Actually the steelers did look pretty good, Miami seems to be...well kinda ho-hum.

So let's hear your thoughts on the first game.

Culpepper looked flat. Steelers defense looked great. Charlie Batch is no Ben Rothlesberger. I think Miami will have a good year after Culpepper gets into a rhythm. Steelers will have a winning season but a Super Bowl repeat will be a real challenge for them.

I only saw the game up to halftime as i work nights but pittsburgh looked good even with the backup QB. As far as a repeat season its too early to tell. Im just happy the season is here and look foward to going to as many jets games as possible.

I loved Joey Porter's celebration after he intercepted Culpepper. Get your roll on.

Wes i know the the jets aren't the best team but i think with the changes this year things are headed in the right direction.

As far as the 7 dollar beers we tailgate for hours in the parking lot so i never have to buy inside the stadium.

I remain skeptical, but for you and other J-E-T-S fans out there I hope you're right. Just don't start pulling for Carolina or Tampa.

I see that the officiating still aint all that.

I thought Cullpepper looked pretty good tho. I kinda wish he wanted to take the Tennessee offer but he flat refused. We coulda used him.

Holy Shiznit....the Broncos Sucked big time!! Seems the old Jake Plummer is back. I can't see him starting too many more games if he performs as poorly as he did today. Granted the defense did not allow a TD, but they did allow 18 points via field goals. I'm not impressed.

Seems that there were a few upsets in the first round this morning.

Falcons smacked the Panthers around to the tune of 20-6....ouch.

Bengals put the Smack-Dab on the Chiefs....23-10.

Ravens were all over the Buc's in a shu-out 27-0......Will shiver me timbers!

Let's hear it...bring out your trash.

Wow, the Pats didn't come out of the gate looking too pretty, and the concerns about their passing game are certainly valid. But they eeked one out against a stronger than expected Bills team, so hopefully they improve from there with some less ugly wins.

The peckers are awesome this year. Not that I had any doubts. Well, looks like it'll be a short season of interest for me until the playoffs for my secondary teams I enjoy watching. I didn't even make it past the 1st quarter today.

Buffalo's defense was surprisingly fast, also surprising was the poor protection Brady got early on. Not surprising was that they pulled it off and stopped the Bills cold in the second half. Running game was great. Killer production from Dilllon and Maroney. Road to the Super Bowl, baby!

WOW did Nugent suck, I literally think I could have done a better job, it was that bad.

missing an extra point, a 30 yarder and a 33 yarder is damn near inexcusable in this league. thats 7 points left on the field.

by the way Dave, dont forget about Sunday, were in for the game. We get upper tier though

No, he should have gone to another team that cared about giving him a team worth playing with. He'll never say it, or do it, but sweet Lord is that organization messed up.

Pats just traded Deion Branch to the Seahawks for next year's 1st round draft pick....

While that sucks for the Patriots, because they're so thin at wide receiver right now.... good riddance. I can't stand contract holdouts. In the preseason it's understandable, at least a little bit. But to miss real games? Intolerable.

Should be a nice boost for any Seahawks fans out there, though.
