    Can you describe the sound, as compared to your 2.3tl's.

    The 2.3TL is a great speaker, as I've found, however I've had 'em for only a week, so there's more fun with these coming, for sure. They have a large and full sound, as befits the size of the enclosure.

    The pipedreams are well.....a big money statement speaker, with all that implies. At these pricepoints, they had better perform, and they do. In my room I've never had a speaker disappear as completely as these, stage and imaging is 3D holographic, layering of sound and ease of presentation are all there. No compression with even the most complex orchestral passages. The woofers are fast, articulate and blend seamlessly with the mid/tweeter towers.

    Prolem with big speakers is you have to have the stuff to make 'em sound good, building a proper foundation of components is a must. Then the wife or girlfriend has to either approve or get over it. The speakers are the focal point of the room, some women can't deal with it. Fortunately for me my girl loves the music so that makes it easier for me.
