From what I've seen in person now, I'd have to say the Tannoy Eyris DC3's win for their understated elegance. I used to own a pair in dark walnut; kicking myself for selling them

I only have the Sensys DC's. I love how they keep up with every tweak and add on I have done.;)
When I do get better speakers, the Sensys DC's are going to stay in the HT set up. Can't bear to part with them.

The Dalis my father in law picked up this weekend are very nice. Simple, very simple, but the wood and stain they used are excellent.

Those pearl colored horns look sweet but the decoration more than anything makes them look good otherwise they wouldn't look that good...I like me speakers for looks they go with my room

I also do not see the beauty in these speakers. I am more intrigued by the engineering of the design. IMHO of course.I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D -

So a friend asked me today about Tannoy's... I have never heard them in person. Are they a good quality speaker? Better than Polks?

Now this is my kind of speaker!!! A MANS speaker. If it sounded like dung I'd still want it. I'd probably sleep with it. The Carver Amazings are nice too. But the rest look like toys. -
