I just never realized what a great group of audio enthusiasts we have here on/in CP. Sure we get our panties in a bunch once in a while and god knows we have our fair share of freaks join us for some hilariously extended exchange of ideas and POV's.

But it wasn't until I recently joined a particular automobile forum that I realized just how lucky we are to have many of the great contributors here. There are some really inane, stupid excuses for people out there. Moronic, sophomoric, idiots who have no class or for that matter brain matter. I'm not sure how they function in life. I don't know if it's their youth or their attitude, but the subjects and answers they posted were beyond belief in most cases. It felt like i was in a kindegarten class.

What a bunch of crack-heads on the other forum. Made me appreciate this forum all the more. It makes many of our noobs look like scholars in many cases. Except for the cardboard sub enclosure incident.

Just a shout out and some appreciation from me to all the regular contributors here on CP. We have it very good here.

Yeah Ive joined quite a few forums over the years...

And I havnt found one with a group of people that were as thick-skinned, respectable, willing to kick you in the nuts and pick you back up again, lay down some knowledge and overall was here just to have a good time...

Everywhere else, you either are surrounded by morons, everyone is to serious about whats posted and anything out of place is rude, disrespectful or downright wrong. EFFF

A forum is a place to TALK to people, not sit down with your head shoved up the moderators rear and never talk about nothng but audio. And personally I like to be an **** sometimes and start a 30 page rant and rave and get everyone in a huff and puff... :)

    Club Polk is cool.

I prowl ALOT of places in regards to audio and ****, and I agree with the structure of this place. In contrast, you should be involved visually with every audio forum possible, as it's helpful to see what's going on elsewhere.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Forums have come a long way though. It used to be nothing but internet cammandos, **** talkers, etc. Forums in general seem more civil. I'm a regular at GlockTalk, AR15.com, and Poolforum.com; all of these are good forums. oddly enough, you'll get banned at GlockTalk for cussing...imagine that.

I'm sure Eric (GlockTalk owner) would throw you a warning the first time, but after that it would be bye-bye. he's always run a tight ship over there, and it seems to work well---people get along there with few problems. I think he's a gun-totin' bible-thumper or something...

There are a lot of good people on this Forum. I've been posting a little over a year and learned a lot from many of you. Made some friends, had good conversation, bought and sold a view things, etc. I'm impressed how people will respond with well wishes when someone is down and out, lost a job or a pet people here go out of their way most of the time to be considerate and helpful. I know it can get like a big boy's locker room once in a while, but it's okay.

There are other Forums out there that I post on or troll. But this is my favorite.

What I like about this forum is how much I'm learning about audio equipment. There is a wealth of information here. I scan through AVS now and then, but it has a different flavor to it.

I agree about the positives of this forum. There are some that make me so angry with the nonstop moronity and those with a huge member base but with no real participation to speak of.

yeah this Club Polk thing is working out ok for me.... the couple of other forums I visit now and then.. just don't cut it.. there may be a handful of people who keep them going, but for the most part.. participation is very low.

Unlike this place where some people never shut the f*ck up! :p

    participation keeps this place alive..

I really dont usually stick around at forums. Get my info and get the hell out, but something attracted me here. Everyone is very down to earth, only a few jerkoffs ;). People go by first names, its pretty nice.

I am only a member of one other forum that I post on regularly, but thats mainly because Im a computer nerd and their are only about 10 other regulars around there.

I think Ill stick around here a good while to see whats going on. :)

    BBSing at it's finest.

Where else can you step on your crank, get beat senseless, than have the same folks give you good advice on audio/gear/movies/life the next day.

Oh, sure it's no bensbagains.net (referencing someone's mom in connection with a Jack Lalane Juicer probably wouldn't be warmly received), but ....
    it's still okay.

Informative, entertaining, and .... cheap. 2/3 of the requirements for a good hooker, I'd say.

    I love this place.

One day you get a picture of a cat wearing a melon hat and the next day you get Russman telling some kid to keep his dickbeaters out of his Apple Jacks.

Go ahead and try and find that elsewhere.
