Hey All,
I've been living in the tiniest of apartments the last 4 years, and as a result, left my system in boxes. I intentionally stopped browsing the forum, as I found it painful to talk about audio when I couldn't do any listening. I'm now moving into a bigger place, and with that comes the re-introduction of audio in my life. Let me tell you: It is exciting. I'm staring at 11 boxes of speakers, subs, and electronics, knowing that I'm going to have the greatest day of my life setting it all up. I remember how much fun upgrading one component was. But going from zero to a full system: Oh man.
I imagine audio will be a little different now as upgrades will by near impossible for several reasons.
1) I have bills
2) I have a live-in Girlfriend (That part's actually okay, just not for audio)
3) I don't have a healthy Circuit City discount
4) I have bills
I'll actually have to restrain myself from buying everything bigger and better that comes along.
Overall, I have to say the forum has changes suprisingly little. I still recognise many of the names, and that is a good thing. It's good to know that the people that are around giving advice are here to stay. I guess that's because it's a tough hobby to leave. And I hope I never have to again.
