My friend has a Marantz SR-18 and the unit will power up however it does not produce any sound. I can hear the transistor or whatever that initial click is when it powers on but the much anticipated second click of the amplifier portion never seem to come.
Anyway I was wondering if you all would be so kind to give us some ideas of what could possible be the problem as he doesn't really want to spend $75 just to get it on the bench if there is no hope. Thanks in advance.
