The problem with using the RTi4 as the sub is that its not timbre matched to your LSis. Its going to provide an odd sounding bass that you surely will not be pleased with.

Yea, you really should be using the LSi7 for your sub rather than the RTi4. For a while I had some old BOSE cubes hooked up to my headphone jack that put out some decent bass, but finally went to the RTi4 (since they are matched to my Rti70's of course)as my sub and now I am WAY hooked up with bass.

    Krazy,

If I were you, I would email Polk_Audio_Lsi for some ideas. He's a great guy to work with; much better than these other grizzled old farts. A real outside the box thinker. . . could turn that RTi4 into an SVS Ultra in no time with some super-sweet wiring tricks :)

Hahahaha...man that's some funny ****. I was wondering when someone would compare this guy to polk_audio_lsi. I was just thinking the other day that i missed the humour that he brought to this forum. I wonder what he's up to these days.

this thread has definitely brought a smile to my face and a good chuckle...no offense. You should search for some posts by polk_audio_lsi. Read a few of them or actually all of them...especially the 5 or 6 page one, then you wont feel so bad about this one.

    Krazy-

Way to take it in stride man, stick around...
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Don't feel so bad for being a newb. Some of the questions I asked a few years ago on the speaker building sites, when read now, embarrass me to death. We all start somewhere, so don't feel ashamed, newb :D

Spider: [hesitating] Why don't you go f*ck yourself, Tommy?
    [stunned silence]
Jimmy Conway: WHOA. I don't believe what I'm hearing. Check out the BALLS on this kid. Hey Spider, this is for you.
    [tosses money on the table]
Jimmy Conway: That's the way. You don't take no **** from nobody.

Krazy -- Welcome to the forum:D Way to take a licking and keep on ticking:)
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

    Wait, is that from GoodFellas?

And, if so, doesn't Tommy then shoot Spider in the head for talking back to him? Maybe that's a bad example to give Krazy.

I mean, some people have been banned, but rarely are polkies shot by senior forum members, right?
