How to tune up your plasma for perfect picture?

There are only a few people out there can that are really taking advantage of the true performance capabilities of their plasmas. As soon as you take one of these bad boys out of the box, you notice that the colors, contrast and sharpness are all blown up. Apparently the manufacturing companies want their sets to be as bright as possible when they end up been displayed at your local electronics store. They look good but not for your house!!!
I have seen a couple of post advising people to do the following things in order to get the most out of picture quality:
Turn off back enhancement
Regular Color Temp
Manual convergence
Turn down contrast
Turn down sharpness
I know that there are a few of you out there that have calibrated your plasmas to the dot. Can you please share the beautiful picture and what process can we mere mortals do to achieve it?

AVS forums are your friend. Hopefully a thread already exists with your TV model. If so you should find settings that others have found optimal. -

Close but alot of tv's will look blurry if you run it all the way down. Most tv's need some sharpness in there life. I find most of the time the sharpness ends up being about 30% or so. I use Digital Video essentials.
