Does anyone here play FF for the NFL?
If so, it's getting close to the season... I'm so freakin' excited. Training camp starts Friday. Bring it on!

Currently? Maybe five years ago. Ty's got one, maybe two decent years left in him. The money KC gave him is ABSURD for a guy his age. If he plays 8 games this year I'll be surprised.
As for football season, BRING IT ON!!If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -

Great player! I'm with Bobman, though. I don't know how much he has left. KC always has a competitive team. Law should help their defense. KC needs to keep other offenses off the field.
I see Washington and Cincinnatti having big years. Indy should be in the hunt as well. New England has been consistent. As for my Steelers, who knows. They got hot at the right time last year. On paper they look good. How will Big Ben play???? Who knows what his motorcycle folly has done to his head (mentally).

Mr. Law was supposed to end up in Seattle. What happened to that?

I think everyone thought they were going to get Ty. WE thought he was coming back to the Patriots. In the end he just went to the highest bidder. No one would dare try and beat 5 years / 30 mill, it's an absurd contract. If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

But like ALL NFL contracts, the only real money is the signing bonus. I don't know this for sure, but he'll probably make about $15M over the first 3 years, and be released when he's no longer worth the money, at 35.
I wish him luck though. I just wish he'd come back to NE at a reasonable price...selfishly. He was a free agent. It's his obligation to himself and his family to get paid!Main Rig

Hmm, yeah you're right, adding law will make your 30th ranked pass defense airtight... Moss/Porter, Smith/Walker, McCardell/Gates... Shoot, they're all still going to have a field day with you guys...There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Fantasy Football gets a little too nerdy and time consuming for me to participate in.
I'm looking forward to the season, though. -

Hmm, such educated responses here. Whatever. Our rush defense was ranked 7th last year, and our pass d was terrible (26th I think). We added several average to above average lineman, drafted very well with a super hard hitter safety, picked up a corner and got rid of all the players who sucked last year. On top of that, we picked up Hali in the first round, who will be a force given time. Plus we got Herm as our new coach, who is a HUGE defensive guy, and actually is supporting our D this year, unlike Dick who totally shunned them. How in the world can you say that people are going to have a field day against us?
10-6 last year, and that was with a KILLER schedule. This year, our schedule is weak and we have a better team. Plus with KC running more (Herm's own words) LJ will just be tearing up the field. Can I hear 2000+ yards EASILY? 1750 yards for LJ last season, and that is only starting 9 games!!! Unstoppable, if he stays healthy.
So take your little, "Field day" crap and give me some solid reasons why instead of fluff. KC makes the playoffs, and after that, anythings game.Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

And if they don't, they'll just whine to the league about how there should be more playoff teams again
At least Captain Tears Vermeil isn't there anymore, if I had to watch that big baby weep about one more freakin thing I was gonna kick in the TV. Not that I've ever been able to take Herm Edwards seriously, but at least he doesn't spend half his time crying. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
2,000 yds... Good luck with that seeing as you have to play against 2 of the 5 best rushing defenses twice each plus an improved raiders squad. Besides, every year the Queefs claim on having a monster D and they never deliver. Granted you might have a coach with half a brain for D. BTW, you were ranked 30th in pass defense. PFI showed that both Law and Surtain were merely average #1 CB's. Routinely beaten by #1's and # 2's last year. Granted Law had a bunch of picks, but that means his guys were getting open so the QB threw that way.
Let's see how the #1 WR of the division did against Surtain:
Smith 1: 7 C 80 yds 1 TD
Smith 2: 6 C 80 yds
Moss 1: 5C 127 Yds 1 TD
Moss 2: 1C 7 Yds 1 TD (By now, Collins had given up, but good job...)
McCardell 1: 5C 73 Yds
McCardell 2: 6C 58 Yds
Hmm, other than Moss' game 2, Surtain did worse than an average CB against his divisional foes...
I mean, I could just say now that Coyer grew a brain and lets the D-line pass rush instead of rush block, every D-lineman for the Donks will have double digit sacks... and that's just as plausible.
Anyway, preseason has everyone on the crack pipe.

Improved Raiders squad... lol, almost fell out of my chair. Yeah, they had a heck of a draft! Between them and the Bills, it's tough to pick the bigger winner on draft day.Main Rig

I meant only their run D. They'll still be lucky to win 4 games. Dude I'm checking out some stats on LJ and will post when I find. From memory, He ran against 4 of the top 10 D's last year, and ran for well over 125 yards EACH time. After LJ got done with them, every single one of them fell from the top ten spot. So your comment about how he will have to face a top D is bogus. I'll get the stats to back it up here in a bit.
Regarding the Faiders, we've owned their number for the past several years. The Chargers and us usually split, and Donkeys / Chiefs always split. But you can keep calling us Queefy if ya want. Just wait until the season starts and we square off for bragging rights.
And of ya, I guess we are so bad we've had a QB that has passed for 3 CONSECUTIVE Seasons over 4000 yards, a RB that is young and dominant, Tony G who if he wins a SB will go to the Hall of Fame, and an O line that has 3 outta the 5 going to the Hall of Fame. Ya, that is ****.Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

I managed to score some tickets to a Bears game this year. I went to a concert at Soldier Field with my wife a week ago and I have to admit that, even though it looks like crap on the outside, there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in da house. It is, however, an absolute nightmare trying to find your seats - the place is laid out like a maze.Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

I am a huge Chiefs fan, but I have to say that they will be lucky if their defense is ranked in the top15 this year. No matter how great your defensive secondary is (and I do think Law and Surtain are the real deal) if your D line are total turds, you are toast. No one can cover a star WR for more than a few seconds, its not possible. You have to hope to put some pressure on the QB and force him into a poor decision or at least have him throw the ball earlier than the WR is ready or before he has made his break.
As for the division...No Brees in SD will really hurt, especially with Rivers first starting season under the quarterback killer himself, Marty....The real Jake Plummer finally showed up at the end of last season, prompting the Broncos to draft Jay Cutler....Whats the deal with Art Shell in Oakland? No one seems to want to play for him, well at least not Porter. The Raiders will be the same old Raiders, terrible!

So much for 2,000:

BTW, I love how everyone jumps on Jake for 1 bad game and thinking that it would translate into this entire season. I mean, obviously the year to year improvement he has been making doesn't really count because of that one game... Or the fact that he had the lowest # of INT of any starting QB. Yup, that one games show he's dogmeat. On the drafting of Cutler, Shanny's been hankering for an Elway clone since he retired. Griese to Plummer got them closer, but Cutler can do it all and Shanny has the option of letting him learn the system before throwing him to the fire. There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. I don't think it was the 1 bad game, it was the 15 good ones that had been out of the norm for Plummer. He's just prone to fumble away games.
The Roaf retirement is going to be our undoing, I'm afraid. I don't really like the thought of Sampson or Turley at left tackle.
