I have a Sony 500 watt amp, and a Pioneer 12" 400 watt subwoofer. I have it bridged, does all the power go to the subwoofer, like all 500 watts?

Wow, you waited 27 minutes before wondering why nobody answered, I'm impressed with your patience. :D

The answer is no, all the power doesn't automatically go to your subwoofer.

All 500 watts are available to the subwoofer, but it will only use what it needs, usually a small percentage of the total rated or available power.

Yes but not because of your 500 watt amp and 400 watt sub mix.

CP discount on that $500 Gold Club membership fee ? Or is that included in the price.

I don't see myself really needing instant answers, so is there a Bronze Club with guaranteed answers in 30 minutes ? If so, how much is that ?

....and do you take checks ?

A lot more factors into things than just the 'wattage' rating on your sony amp and pioneer sub. Long story short (because I'm feeling pretty lazy right now) YES you can blow your sub with that combo. Hell, you could blow it with 100 watts. Stop paying so much attention to wattage and it'll probably be easier to move away from a '500' watt sony amp into something better quality.

Hehe. Polk's in-ceiling TC61i speakers sound just fine in a cardboard box with an open bottom, laying on cement. It's alllll goooood!
