Yesterday I bought a Jensen Power 425 Watt Amplifer. Hooked up all the cables to the amp, including the sub wich is a 12' 400 Watt Pioneer(yes I know wrong board but please just help!)subwoofer and bridged it, ther is only 1 woofer. It is emitting a really weird noise, like a crackling or popping when the bass hits,. If I turn the bass down, the sound goes down. I didn't install it and I am wondering if it is the wiring, or metal touching somewhere. Please tell me what is going on?:)

are you talking home audio or car audio?

if you need help with car audio.. there is a section for people like you in the car audio section.

do you own any Polk Audio speakers?

I have just purchased a RM 6700 Speaker System and I have a Onkyo 501.I
have hooked them to my receiver and PSW 202 subwoofer to my receiver as well. Do I need to hook them up as directed by the directions , as they sound
pretty good to me? I have to keep my subwoofer on now the way that it is hooked up. Will my speakers sound better if I hookup by the directions? Another question I have is in the directions , how do I make the front speakers switch to large or small on my receiver? The receiver only shows where you can change 150HZ downward. Oh by the way I am new to the board and any advice you can give will be appreciated. Thank You-oholt
