    Hi Sax, welcome!

I have run my RTA 8t's with a 50wpc separate amp, a 110wpc receiver & right now I'm running them with a 200wpc separate amp. It wasn't until I got the 200wpc amp that I found out what these speakers are capable of!

So buy as much power as you can afford.

Any good quality amp, but alot depends on how much you want to spend.
Home theater, or two channel setup. If your on a budget check the used market such as Jeff's Sound values, or Audiogon. I'd say a used amp from
Adcom,Acurus,Hafler,Anthem 100 watts or greater and most of these will handle low ohms. Most amplifiers will have no problem with 6ohms even quality receivers like Yamaha,Denon,Onkyo and maybe a few more..
I use a 200 watt hybrid Anthem amp 2SE which is more than enough for my
    RTA 11T. Good luck

Hmm... now that I have them on their way... I went and looked at amps. Best Buy has a yamaha 5 channel amp that would put 110 watts at 6ohms to the front stage. That should be pretty good then I imagine. I'll keep looking around, Ideally I want just a good two-channel but with a 5-channel I'd be able to use them in my eventual home theater setup or something to that effect.

edit: also, quick question, I own a pair of monitor 5b's I've had a few years now, and when I got them I was able to drop in the RD0194-1 silk dome replacements. Is that the same replacement for the RTA's? Or is it a different one? I had a link to a page of replacement parts but I can't find it...

Same replacement for the RTA's. I own RTA 11's and IMO they are a very easy speaker to drive (atleast I've never had an issue with my Adcom). Yammy wouldn't be on my personal list, but if it comes with a 30 day trial give it a try and see if you are satisfied with it.

94 db efficiency - according to Polk. Should be easy to drive considering I have a little Sonic Impact amp that made them sing :D I sold the speakers but I still have the amp - it's a $30 amp you can't go wrong with.
