CC is remodeling their stores and changing some audio brands they carry. The article says H/K and Infinity will be replaced by Denon and Boston. CC also to have more customer friendly demo rooms

Thats a good move for them as Polk speakers sound better on Denon receivers.

That's surpising that Denon agreed to that. They have always held kind of an elitist position and were usually only found in more upscale stores. Maybe this will increase their volume and lower prices though.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

I love the fact that the Magnolias at BB are using Audioquest and dumped the Monster crap, same for Tweeter/Sound Advice. Pretty soon Monster will be exclusive at Radio Shack, where they belong.

Infinity and H/K are the same company. Do Denon and Boston have any affiliation?

It is(was?) a good time to go grab some King Cobra IC's at half off.
If you are in Dallas, the Frisco store still had a few last week.
The Southlake store had the cv-6 speaker cables at $175.

Back on subject: it's about time for CC to snap back to reality. They have been sliding downhill and need
    to re-think the market.

    Excellent!

Im a big fan of Circuit City and wish Best Buy would all burn to the ground. This is a very good move for them as Boston makes much better speakers than Infinity and Denon, while not really better than HK, is better known to the lawperson as a high end brand.

I practically vomit when I walk into CC, they should all be set on fire. If I want high-end audio, I'll go to Walmart.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Circuit City aint the best place for us audiosnobs but for the average Joe Sixpack that doesnt want a $50,000 home theater system, Circuit City is a great place to check out.

Yes, I believe it was about a year ago that D&M Holdings (Denon & Marantz) purchased Boston.

Oh well. CC is a joke anyhow. Every large electronics retailer is moving toward plasmas because that is where the $ is.

And Boston bought Snell. Soon two companies will own ALL the major audio brands.

It seems all the retailers and manufactorers are rebuilding new relationships to try to move more product. This one is in. This on is out. The only good thing is if youare paying attention, you can find good deals on closeouts.
Tweeter also has been shifting around all their product lines.
