Hello,
I recently purchased a 12" MOMO from a friend. Had to reattach the wire from the cone to the terminal. The sub thumped for about 10 min. then started to smoke. It now krackels with a medium amount of power. Is there any way to repair the sub??
Thanks for any help.

Hello,
What you are looking for is called "re-coning", removal of all of the "soft" parts, the cone, voice coil former, voice coil and tinsel leads. Then the replacement parts are replaced in the cast frame and magnet. If you have someone in your area that rents or sells PA equipment to bands they often will offer speaker reconing.

I've checked around and no one in my area will recone my mm12. anyone know where I can get a reconing kit for it?
