First shots

Here is a sample of my first shots taken with my new camera.

Nikon totally nailed the design of the D200.

For you photo junkies, shot with the 85mm 1.4 @ f8 1/160. Using 4 strobes. 1main, 2 rear (1 to each rear side) and 1 for backdrop.

Tonight was a test and tune shoot to prepare for some major shooting of girlies this weekend for some promotional materials. Sadly for some of you, Jenn (Firegirl) is not among them. This girl I shot has an awesome natural body. Very sexy!

Enjoy!
No excuses!

Well I don't know much about cameras but you sure picked the right model to showcase it's abilities. :D

Congrats on the new camera btw.

I was browsing for digital cameras at Wolf Camera the other day and the sales dude told me Nikon and Canon are not going to be making film cameras anymore! Sounds like a lot of crap to me but ya never know. You hear anything about this?

I've heard that, it's a novelty technology now. Profits aren't offsetting cost for them.

    We've got the D70.

Both have stopped R&D into film cameras. Both will continue to make a few current models, but no new ones will be developed. They gotta go where the future and money lies.

Did you do any editing on that photo yet? I threw in in Photoshop with some contrast and levels work and a bit of saturation looked much more natural. Sorry, I work in photofinishing and I'm picky :)

That was a quicky edit. Mainly some skin touchups, but nothing indepth. I'm a bit tired and didn't feel like going all out on it.

Feel free to post your edit. I don't mind. I'm in no way an expert in editing. I'll probably learn a thing or two. :D

The look of the pictures doesn't really show differently......

If you feel like wasting some time puttering around, take a pic of a flower (or whatever) with both camera's so we can get a clear A/B of the camera's output capabilities....... :D

    Sorry, she's gone!

I'll edit the photo more this weekend when I have more time. I looked at it this morning with fresh eyes and YES, it's a bit dull, needs brightening and contrast.

Per Brett's request which may speak for the rest, I'm going to quit posting girly photos. In their place, nature shots. This weekend I'll get macro shots of individual blades of grass.

And now for this news announcement...Brett22 mysteriously disappeared following a request for nature photos. Stay tuned for further developments. :D

Her face look like that girl that does the eat on $40 a day show(Rachael Ray). Much better body than hers, though!
Keep those photos coming. I need inspiration to upgrade.

That is one MANLY looking individual. Fullback shoulders. Also about the unsexiest, unflattering outfit I've seen in a while.

    Photoshop CS2
    -Auto Levels
    -Hue/Saturaton, saturation increase 28%
-Levels, compressed both sides by about 3-5% to whiten the background while keeping skin exposure in check.

The original colors appear spot on though, so that's good.
