If it is from a dedicated amplifier - you should be fine. Any idea on the amp rating to the speakers? Dampening Factor?

Mainly the LSi's will show any deficiencies and they will work well with most separate amplifiers. If you are purchasing new, might as well go large so you don't have to upgrade again, but if you have some laying around - I am sure they will sound great. (much better than 120 watts with an AVR)

I dont think watts is that critical...more current....IMO Rotel rmb-1075 w/120 w/ch was not enough to control the woofer of the 15s but RB-1080 with 200w/ch was much much better. 80w from a HK amp w/higher current rating than 1075 sounded better and drove the 15s better....of course, not as good as 200 w but better than 120!! Clear as mud?

I have an Adcom 5500 rated at 200wpc into 8 ohms, 350wpc into 4 ohms. Don't go with less power than that.

I was going to suggest some high powered tube amps. 60 - 75 wpc would be plenty to make them sing. I see you'd be using them for HT so that could get pricey. Just thinking that for a 2 ch set up. I may have a suggestion if you want the hook up.
