Cable-lengths...

I was just wondering how cable-lengths affect the strength of the signal running through them. I know you can get so long there is an adverse effect, but how long do they have to be for this to come into play? Does this vary for IC's, component video cables, etc?
How long do you think you could get with a component video cable running to a projector?
Thanks!

You can run a component cable of high quality or built out of rg6 about 500 feet, is that long enough?

My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
ROFL, yes! That's plenty long! Wow, I had no idea you could run a component cable that long.
How about audio IC's? I know they're too expensive to run for too long of a distance, but how long do they have to be before they start seeing the adverse effects of distance?George Grand wrote: »
