let people know you are looking for SDA's.. Oregon is for some reason the past few years... oozing out SDA's every month or so.. several people, including me have made the trip to OR for SDA's.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Yeah, I check the Portland CL every day. I have family over there also, so they can hold them for me until I can make the trip. The waiting is hard, especially when a guy on the local CL has Carver Amazings for $400 ten minutes away from me. What kind of sick world is this.....
The CRS+ are taking good care of me in the interim....SDA SRS 2.3 -

I wasn't originally looking for them, but when they popped up I did some research and they are very sought after. The folks over on audiokarma that own em' swear by em'.
I'll probably pick them up, but at $400 they won't derail my plans for some larger SDA's.SDA SRS 2.3 -
if you do pick up the Carvers... and don't like em or ever want to sell them.. i'd probably be interested in em down the road.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

That is a good price for Silver Edition Amazings. I paid $850 for a pair of Oak Silvers, like new in the original boxes. I have seen them go for from $660 to over $1000. The add says around 48" but they are actually 54" tall.
Powered properly with the right tilt and toe in and they truly sound amazing.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -

I did pick up the Carver's and they sound really damn good, but if you're in the area, and George keeps dropping the price on his SDA's, I may have to let the Carver's go to pay freight charges....:D
Hey George, you don't happen to have the boxes for those minty SDA-1C's do you???SDA SRS 2.3 -
no boxes, sorry,,,but the pair of 1c's that I just shipped arrived safely, actually the ups store that I use,did a very good job.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

Hold them awhile? How about until I get a house with a basement? <jk>
I hope you don't take too much of a bath on them. You might just want to bite the bullet and wait until after summer is over before you put them on Ebay. I've been following a number of things and it seems that the ebay market is more of a buyers market this time of the year than in say the fall or winter, or especially around tax return time! According to PolkSDA's site, the historical average on Ebay for these is only around $510. A pair failed to sell in June with an opening bid of $499.

I've been watching e-bay also,,I think you're right,as I don't have to have the cash right now,I think I'll store them for now and wait until later, they are currently listed on agon=zippo, local craigslist= scammers, mothballed for now, stashed, due to lack of space.JC approves....he told me so.
