XRT12 tuner will not operate

Hello, I have a one year old XRT12 tuner that no longer will power up, although there appears to be a faint glow on the tuner's screen. It does not respond to the power button or to the remote at all.

Can anyone give me a direction to go with this? Are there any internal fuses, etc that I can check?

This is out of warranty by less than 30 days. I am seriously disappointed. I expected years of service from this unit.

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi Ken,

I am having a very similar issue with the tuner that I was fortunate enough to recieve at PolkFest last year (lights up around power button, but that is all). Is it ok if I send mine back as well?

    Thanks in advance -

Two tuners that may have an issue

One of them is out of warranty and the other was a freebie giveaway...and Polk is going to just replace both, no questions asked...amazing

That's some kick a$$ customer service!!

I have dealt with several companies in the past that have great CS (I can count those on one hand), but I've yet to run across another company that's on par with Polk in Customer Service.

    Oustanding job Polk!

There seems to be a problem with the power switches on some of these. My first one went in because it would power-up by itself. When I got the replacement, the power button "felt" more positive switching between on/off.

Polk's customer service was excellent and sent a replacement quickly. Ken ROCKS.

Wow ! No, "I'm sorry, sir, but our store policy is ..." speech that you come across so often now.

You should have at least made them send a SASE, along with 2 forms of ID, and a copy of last month's water bill. Just because. :)

    No kidding, that's nice.
