Man, struggling getting wires outside...

So I moved in to a new apartment that has a private patio. I want to put my Atriums on the patio, but I am really struggling figuring out how to run my speaker wires outside to them. To get to the patio, there is only a sliding glass door.
Any great ideas that just haven't dawned on me yet? I can attach pics at lunch time if needed.

That's a tough one---short of finding a very inconspicous place to drill a hole in the slider's frame (near the bottom corner?)

    Through the wall.
There has to be a little wall room around the door.
Go through the wall and sily-cone the wires in the hole.

If you don't care much about sound quality, there are some wireless speakers to be had out there. I have some Altec Lansings that work pretty well, that I got off the 'Bay, for simliar duties.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Good point, there's got to be some wood framing around the slider frame.

Yeah, maybe drilling a hole and using silicone wouldn't cause too much damage. I just don't want to be screwed when I move out. I wish I could somehow cram a wire between the sliding pane and stationary panes of glass since there is a gap, that might be asking for trouble though because when closed there is some felt or something that makes a seal.

Drill plus silicone. When you move out, cover it with spackling. IF the landlord asks, you don't know what they're talking about. I've done this on at least three apartments.

There you go...spackle and paint silver, they won't see it. OR
You might consider buying a used receiver dedicated for the patio--that's what I do. I think I paid 40 bucks for the receiver and I threw a $40 Tosh DVDP for my source.

Screw the drill, takes too long....a high powered rifle aimed at the lower corner should give you just the right sized hole to pass the wire through.

See if you can unscrew the frame to the sliding door and slide some flat wire underneath.

I ended up sneaking a cable between the sliding door and the stationary door where there is this felt-like seal. The cable rubs just barely, but not too bad. They're relatively cheap cables anyway, so if they get damaged, I don't care. We'll see what happens. The frame is very thick, so I was trying to avoid drilling. Maybe I'll drill if my current setup fails. So far, so good.
    Thanks for the ideas.

Glad you got is figured..............remember, damaging the cables won't hurt as much as shorting out your amp.

Good point. But, again not worried too much. I'm using an old cheapo integrated that even has the power button glued to make it stay turned on :) It's a piece of work I tell ya. Don't know why it ended up in my hands.
