LS-25 Sub out of control

Not quite sure how to diagnose this one. My sub on my right LSI-25 is trying to output huge amounts of base when there isn't such a signal. I've turned off the sub now and the mids and tweets play fine. The sub on the left LSI-25 is playing fine. Is there something I should be looking at?

Hi, what kind of sound is it? Is it a hum or buzz? Or is it another sound?

Also, how do you have the speakers hooked up signal wise (speaker wire, or speaker wire + line level?).

It's just a boom boom boom sound that's very deep coming from the subwoofer. There's no variation in tone. It's just the same deep boom.

It's hooked up with speaker wire and LE input.

    Thanks for responding Eric.

Have you tried messing with the subwoofer cables? I have the same problem when the cable from the LFE was loose.....might be a simple solution

I unplugged the LFE cable from the speaker this morning and it didn't help. I'll try from the pre-pro end.
