Hey guys. I am getting my new speakers tomorrow and I want to put my surrounds back a bit . I have penty of cable slack on my left surround but for some reason, I can't seem to pull out any more wire from the right even though I have plenty of extra at the equipment hook up location. Should I be able to tug on this and get some movement or did my installer do something tricky?

If you have enough to hookup the speaker I wouldn't worry about it.

It's a stretch actually. It's gonna depend on where the hook ups are on the Von Schweikert surrounds. I can't seem to find a picture of the rear of those babies. (TS-150).

Ok, usually most electricians will staple the wire or if they're smart, cable-tie the wire to a staple. they should have left a bunch of slack, but that's obviously not the case. You might be able to get some more slack by reaching into the wall/ ceiling, finding the first staple and prying it loose. Otherwise, you're SOL.

just looked at your system pics... not looking good. Your best bet might be to take out one of those ceiling cans & seeing if you can reach the wire/ feel what the problem is.

Well I think I will just have enough. I just found out the VS speakers have their speaker hook ups in the middle and the LSiFxs are to the far side making it a stretch so I will have about an inch to spare.

If they just ran the wire without attaching it to anything (like the staple / zap strap method) it's possible it looped and then got stuck at the hole. This happened to me when we ran cable up to my room. Maybe try pushing it back into the wall for as much slack inside as possible and jiggling it a little? It's a long shot, but maybe worth a try if you want to have a little more slack than an inch or two...
