Haha, that's interesting. A friend just showed it to me on compfused.com last night (http://www.compfused.com/directlink/1363/). He said that there were videos around the 'net of different people playing the exact same thing, so that questions the legitimacy of that actualy video, but regardless of who is actually playing it, someone sounds really good on the guitar. Sounds great.

Agreed. If you want some technically difficult stuff try some classical written for Guitar. (12 string baby)

    Edit: Still sounded cool.

And I second the whole - good, but not that impressive. Gets boring after about 2 minutes...

The JerryC guy definately gets points for being the first to pull this off.

Anyone know song this guy was playing? Or who played / composed the original song?

Speaking of guitaring, can someone suggest some cool guitar based music such as this besides the usual suspects such as Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Vai etc.?

It's Pachelbel's Canon in D, written toward the end of the 17th century. The guitar was pretty good until he switched into minor mode... it's written in D *major*!

That is a great song. I love classical stuff played heavy like that!

And you can tell he's really playing it cause he goes flat on a couple notes.

Saw this a while ago. It was a different guy though. Same arrangement.

I thought the first comment was hilarious. Vision of Hendrix.
