LOL i figured since there was like 10 replies saying ABSOLUTELY NO before mine that he would figure out i was joking, or atleast not take my advice. If you made this thread, saw 10 people saying dont do it and one kid saying to do it with a radioshack amp which would you do?

.Jon, Kolyan2k was asking a serious question, which dictated a serious answer. Those speakers cost a considerable amount of money & having them get blown by being fed inadequate power is simply not a good thing!

If you want to joke around go to the clubhouse and have fun. But if someone is asking for help, especially an inexperienced newbie, be respectful enough to take them seriously & give them the right information.

No one can hear your joking facecious tone of voice over the internet. That's why winky smilies were created!

You seem to be confusing "Loud" and "Good." Sure any POS flea market receiver can send a signal down the wire to virtually any speaker, but that doesn't mean it's going to sound good...or even acceptable.

Speaking of "fun sillys", you guys chased polk_audio_lsi to the AVS forums where he is now asking and answering questions about polk products. He took all that knowledge he absorbed from here and is now a Sensei on other boards. You guys should be proud. *passes around the kleenex"

Still doing his schtick though...pointless questions and getting knowledgeble people to provide more information than he deserves or understands. There's a disconnect between his eyes and brain.

Lucky for you there is a way to reconnect your eyes and brain. Suck on the barrel end, point slighty up and squeeze.

I've been using the 3805 (basically a 3806 except for a few nice features) for almost a year with my LSi15's and I've never had a problem with the receiver going into protect mode. I haven't actually had a hot sacramento summer though so we'll see.

You obviously don't play it very loud for sustained periods of time. However, if you did add an amplifier you would notice a distinct difference in clarity, volume, & bass.
