    I'd be all over this if they were the same length. Everyone knows two different lengths screws up timing and shifts the stereo image. Shame. I hate when people ruin perfectly good stuff.

    Even if you tried to re-purpose them for use with real lamps, the light output would be delayed at the 21ft side, resulting in time travel if one were to move from one end of the couch to the other.

    I've done the math. It's not much, time wise, but you would be exactly 3 seconds older by the time you got from one end of the couch to the other. This adds up over time, and, in theory could shorten your life if you do this frequently. Now, I know what you're thinking - Couldn't you reverse the effect by just shifting back the other way? The answer to that is no.
