@mhardy6647 Isn't there a potential for negative effects/interference/distortion by having the internal speaker output wires running this close to a transformer?
Should be in the "baby show me your guts" discussion but, wow that is pretty close. What amp is that?Gustard X26 Pro DAC

One of the benefits of a toroidal transformer is that the lines of magnetic flux are focused inward towards the center of the toroid instead of radiating outward. If the speaker wires were draped over the top of the toroid that would be poor design.
-
Correct, it's highest in the center, but the magnetic field does exist outside. Following the round contour of the transformer isn't the best choice. It would have been better to put the transformer at the side of the enclosure to keep wiring away from it. Side issues is that the enclosure's center-of-gravity is on the side.

Well... the idea of the toroidal PT is to minimize magnetic leakage -- so it shouldn't be as big a deal as it might be for a traditional "E-I" type PT.

I know you're limited on space but I also know you could never make a stack like this. Never.
I wonder WHY the owner had to do this. The owner doesn't even have room for the TT's cover... wow. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
As a side note, it really bothers me that on a $10k integrated they appear to have used some of the cheapest most generic looking binding posts I've seen:

I can't imagine buying a $4k SA-KI Ruby and then putting a cheap Pioneer turntable on top of it like that. Cruel and unusual. -

Is that a Dodge Diplomat reboot or a Ford Fairmount reboot?

Yes.

or if you consider Projective Geometry:
In projective geometry, any pair of lines always intersects at some point, but parallel lines do not intersect in the real plane. ... Also, if any pair of lines intersect at a point on the line at infinity, then the pair of lines are parallel. Every line intersects the line at infinity at some point."Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"Anger is just anger. It isn’t good. It isn’t bad. It just is. What you do with it is what matters.
You can use it to build or to destroy. You just have to make the choice. Jim Butcher
