I never said they sounded better than Signal (or any other company)...

I merely said the power cable is thicker than the Magic Power, but not quite as thick as the Zebra.

You can say/add to my statement however you wish.

Im just sharing my new cables.
Sorry that it offends you. Maybe you shouldnt read or post anywhere near this thread.

But I know thats a challenge.

The real question you should be asking is...

Would I have bought these cables if I did not get a discount? The answer is... no.

Another reason is - I can post anything I da*n well please.

I dont know about you, but for about 85% of the thread...

The general ribbing (expected) and the casual conversation was...ya know, what I expected.

But, yeah - last time I checked, a company business practice does not define this product, it defines them as a company. If you honestly think that, Monster, as a company dosnt make a good product (for a substantial discount) because they have overactive lawyers, then you need to get your head checked.

Aside from that fact, Monster's pro line of stuff is much different than their home line - its all VERY solid because it has to withstand ALOT of abuse, alot of traveling. Ive been very impressed with their quality. Where as with their home stuff I wouldnt of even looked twice at.

This forum dosnt seem like its inhabited with the majority being 24+ years old. I have an excuse, Im 17 - whats Drummingmans excuse? Whats YOUR excuse?

Im guessing you dont have one. Act your age, its a cable. Not a universal shift in the universe. Its a solid product thats over priced. If you cant accept that fact, then you dont belong in this thread. I dont know how else to put it.

(Why get heated over the subject?) Because I have nothing else to do and half my system is currently unplugged and cant play XBox or anything - starting a small fight on CP is the next best thing. (Forgot to add my disclaimer based smiley. ;))

Cool, Sid! Glad to hear you're enjoying them. Is the power cord for your pre or speakers? Power cords are next on my list. Want to maximize my system starting at the source.

These in particular are for my speakers.

The preamp takes a C7 (I think thats it) connector - so I will need to buy an adaptor if I want to utilize my discount once again. I may get the Powerline 200 for my preamp... - all I need to upgrade now is that power cable and the AV cables running to my subwoofer and Ill be upgraded!

These power cables look beastly in my room... lol - they arnt long enough to run to the outlets behind my TV stand, so I had to compromise and run them to the outlets beside the speakers.

If you want to upgrade your power cables...

If you dont mind using Monster, I will hook you up man - I can get the Powerline 300, 200, 100 cheap.

    Sid,
Thank you for the offer. There was one by AQ that I had my eyes on but the store is sold out. If they don't get them in by the time I'm ready to buy, I'll shoot you an e-mail. I can't spend any money for a while. Still recovering from the Original cdp/AQ Jaguar purchase. Do those Monster power cords do RF filtering?

You're right, I also love the look of thick cables in a rig for that wow factor, but when it's time for serious listening, the lights go out and the cables are no longer visible:).

    Man...

These cables have three different types of shielding thats almost as thick as the actual wiring within - shield electromagnetic AND radio frequency...

The 300 is a SOLID cable, I can get you a little discount - all depends on how many you want, etc...I wont/cant disclose anything here, all email.

Xtra Low Noise¿ Technologies Keep Your Power Transfer Interference-Free
To safeguard against RF and EM interference from external and internal sources, PowerLine 300 features a unique double shield plus a double-molded termination. Two isolated layers of shielding and a full coverage mylar foil fend off external RF interference, while a tightly woven copper braid protects against EM interference. These are separated by a high-density dielectric. A drain wire connects the shield to the AC source ground, sending accumulated noise back to the wall plug, lowering the overall noise floor.

What+s more, Monster+s precision 24k gold contact plug resists corrosion and maximizes power transfer.
