That alien horn thing was awesome. My C-9's seriously energized the room on that part. I thought the movie was pretty good--don't know that I'd buy it...

Definitely Spielberg's worst movie. 2 Hours of Dakota Fanning screaming and Cruise sweating. The audio was too much, didn't allow me or even my son (former projectionist) to enjoy at all.

I'm tempted to go back and rent 1941, a movie some think was Spielberg's worst and appreciate the chaotic fun.

Another great scene for audio on this dvd is Scene 14, from the scene selection. It's the part where the kid goes running up the hill while the military is trying to fight the invaders. Awesome sound effects.

I threw this thing in the DVD player for a whirl listeninig with the new PB13-Ultra. All I can say is WOW. The Ultra made the Aliens coming out of the ground seem like an earthquake in my living room for sure. The Ultra absolutely handled this scene effortlessly. I did listen at -23 on the MV (for DTS). I usually listen at -15 (DD) calibrated at 70 dB with Avia II. No distortion when the horns blow either. Cool movie IMO (not the best plot), but excellent bass effects to work your sub.
