I am building a 2-channel stereo system, and a power shampoo (or conditioner) is the last component. Any recommendation for one? Budget is about $400.00.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Triplite 2400 if you need under voltage protection, otherwise I concur with the UPC-200

There are two types to look at. Some run the power through a transformer or autoformer (if undervoltage protected) and others are across the line which means the power is still connected directly but the protective and conditioning components are in parallel rather than in series with the line voltage. It's up to you to figure out which is optimum for what. Normally amplifiers like to be direct to the line (tightest voltage regulation) but most source components like to be transformer isolated. (hum issues if any).

I was thinking to get Panamax 5300, but want to see more good choices before buying one.

Just looked at what I have! Change my previous recommendation to Panamax 5300EX! I have the previous model, the 5100. Works very nice for my 2 ch. rig.DKG999

Panamax is good, but Pantene is a much better conditioner. There are really only 2 I'd look at. The Blue Circle BC606 @ $299.99 or a Richard Gray unit for roughly $400 (under that used). I think most of the mainstream stuff (Monster and Panamax) is great for video but alter's the audio in perhaps a worse way.

Wish I had the cash to buy it for myself, but there is a UPC-200 B-stock at PS Audio's web site for $349. It says there is a blemish on the bottom that you can't see when it's sitting on it's feet, so basically who cares! Full warranty...
