Well I admit it was a bit over the top this morning listening to BOSTON after reading SteveinAZ Grandma thread Well my right one quit, my left one was a bit warm to the touch so I think I hurt this one also. So knowing what I did I readjusted my high volume limit. Well it sound good just before she quit.....
So do I deal with Polk or ? They are like 2 yrs old, so I think they are still under warranty along with a **** slap or two.

Hello,
The process is fairly simple, send the non-working tweeter to Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite A, San Diego, CA. 92154. Please include a short note giving us your name, address and a copy of your sales receipt. The service department will quickly send a replacement.
Regards, Ken -
Kenneth,
Thank you, even if I know what I did. Well at least I'm man enough to say it.

No problem, glad to be of help.
Take care, Ken -
Well plot thickens, I removed the said "Bad" Tweeter replaced it temporally with a Tri-Lam Tweeter from my
Rt800i. It still sounded bad, dead flat little from the Tweeter and something not sounding right at all with the mid driver. So this got me thinking about the "Bad" tweeter really being bad. So I frogged the Tweeter bezel's around Tweeter works OK, but still the bad sounding one still being bad. So I next frogged speakers so removing amps / speaker cables / interconnects all, so "Bad" speaker still sounding bad in new location.
So what do you think is the problem?
BTW as anyone blow a RT150i speaker before, I heard many stories on what the speaker can kill but I killed the speaker first

Ken,
Thank you, I received the crossover and yes it fixed it.
BTW what changed on the crossover? There's an added resistor to the tweeter side of things not there on the old one.

I don't hear of crossovers failing very often.. maybe i'm just not in the know.. but glad to hear you've got it working again. and that Ken and Polk came thru once again.
PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert  -
I wonder also why it failed, I can tell you it was LOUD.
My thinking is that I over powered the Pre amp sending a distorted signal to my Halo A23 amps running in bridged mono mode.
