RDMS1 SUBWOOFER - No Power - PLEASE HELP.

I moved my RMDS1 system from one room to another and for some reason the subwoofer is not powering-on anymore (I moved it carefully - did not roll it down the stairs or anything like that). There is no green/red light and no sound from subwoofer or satelites. Fuse is still in-tact and everything is plugged-in correctly.

Has anyone had the same problem or does anyone know if this is a common issue with this system? If it is recommended to crack open the enclosure is there something in particular that I should be looking for? I am looking for any solution so I don't have to sell the scraps on ebay or pay shipping on a 150 lb package back to Polk?

Not to sound like a real smartass, did you plug it in to an outlet that is switch operated. My wife keeps doing this with our free standing lights.

    Hello VSPN,
Thanks for using the Forum. There is a trigger Voltage that turns on the sub-woofer amplifier supplied by the pre-amp/processor. Make sure the DB25 connecting cable that runs from the processor to the sub-woofer is correctly aligned when attaching it at both ends. In fact, you may want to remove the cable and reverse the ends, the end that was connected to the sub-woofer connect to the processor and the end previously connected to the processor connect to the sub-woofer. This will align the pins and sockets of the cable in a different position in case some of the pins are not making contact. The other thing to do is as you are tightening the two thumb screws on each end of the DB25, slightly "jiggle" the connector to make sure it is seating correctly. Then a few more turns of the screws and re-seat the connector. Did you have to use an extension for the DB25 cable?
There is also a way to reset the pre-amp processor. From the front panel, of the processor, simultaneously push these three buttons: "save preset", "clear" and "preset up". The processor will display "default" then shut off. Turn the unit back on and, hopefully, the sub-woofer will power up.
    Regards, Ken, Polk Audio
